    WOW - congrats on a great find. If the fact that they smell is all that's wrong with them, washing them is a small price to pay. Great fabric, to say nothing of the price.

    Good Luck with the mothball smell.
    A lady gave me an entire bolt of
    poly/cotton rouyal bluel and I
    cannot get the smell out.

    I have washed 2 times in baking soda
    & vinegar, hung out over night on
    the line & NO LUCK.

    PLEASE tell me what works for you.

    WOW, what a wonderful find. I think the moth ball smell would be better than mold, mildew or cigarette smoke. Should wash out.
