    I think it is awesome.....what happy colors and what fine detail .....I bet it was hand quilted ???? She put much love into making it and now you have it ......Thanks for sharing it. Bea

    Beautiful, I don't blame you for not using it. I had a top I quilted out. The top was mad by my DH's DGM. It turned out pretty good. It was the "Bow Tie". I quilted it by the piece. Well that was years ago and I haven't done any hand quilting since. The moral to this story is we used it and now it is a mess. If I had it to do all over again I would have never used it. You are right in not using it. That is something you can pass down and is such a great job. Your DGM did an excellent job as far as I am concerned. Thanks for sharing it with us.

    How georgeous. I used the quilts my grandmother made and now they are falling apart. Part of me is sorry and part says, "Quilts are made to be used." But that one is spectacular and I'd save it too!
