FancyFoot, Dragonomine, great quilts! Hubby and William Shatner...wow, two great men, lol! :D

Prettykitty, I was just in my 'cave', digging around table, has a bunch of fabs on it, and was just wondering if my tastes were really starting to lean towards brights...and then my brain said, and the..., and the..., and the...(pastels used to be my favorites,...then I came back in here and saw your pic...still love those pastels. It all just depends on which project I am working on. Right now, have some stuff in washing machine, and loving those colors...i just love them all. It is a very pretty quilt, and like the 1/4" stitching on those blocks, too. :D

PrettyKitty! Your patchwork is very pretty, and particularly colours. This is such warm and spring.

This is the first one I did that I actually have a pic of.
It's a balkan puzzle I made for my oldest daughter
it's got several different shades of blues reds and creams in it.

Aw, c'mon guys, these are your first quilts?!! I am so impressed at the patterns that have been chosen. Triangles, curves - flying geese. Man, my first quilt was strips and squares. I have LOVED looking at all the pictures on here and once I was totally BLOWN AWAY, I spent hours looking through old pictures trying to find pictures of my first quilt. Not one. Can't say I'm terribly sad. That poor quilt was fussy-cut picture blocks alternated with blocks made of strips. My sewing was off and the strip blocks turned out to be rectangles so the whole quilt was kind of off. Every time I make a quilt, I learn something more. Gotta start making more of 'em so I can learn faster :)

This is a great place to learn lots.
