    My darning foot does not have a spring in it, my FMQ foot does. I usually prefer to use the one with the spring, as I get better stitches :D:D:D

    On my brother I use the metal darning foot, don't have the FMQ foot. Also since my feed dogs don't drop I do better work if instead of covering the feed dogs I set the stitch length to 0.
