We had record breaking warm temps. here the last few days. I will take it for as long as it will last, do know that it could change in a hurry. Not looking forward to snow at all!!!

It is hard to even think about cold and snow here! The air conditioner is still plugging away. The 40-50 mph winds have cooled down to the low 90's and 80's though.

I am sure that winter has not come to Northern California, but we had a really freak hail storm last night. It did all this in about 1/2 hour. The first picture is what it did to my big beautiful summer squash plant that I had picked two large squash off that morning. Then look what it did to my tomato plant - stripped all the leaves and put holes in the tomatoes - just ruined them all.

I refuse to have snow and cold til after Christmas!! LOL Not very realistic as we are in the middle of the midwest. But I can always refuse anyway!!

We usually don't see snow til the first of Dec or sometimes not til Christmas. We have seen snow as early as Oct and as late as May.

We are enjoying lovely Indian Summer right now with mid 70s and beautiful blue sunny days. But it won't last much longer I am afraid. If it would only stay this way til next April I would be ecstatic!! I hate the wet and cold of winter and spring. Give me a long long long autumn and I am a happy camper!!
