Oh, the one posting a picture or comment is looking for feedback, even it it's only a one word comment. We that have been on the board for a while seem to see the same things over and over, but when we post, we (I) still look and see if what I asked for in advice or color choices or showing off something that took hours to make, the feedback is a reward, an answer or opinion that is considered.

The experience on this board is priceless, there is always someone that has experienced it, seen it or has a solution or at the least a Oh, wow that's pretty!

So comment, it may brighten someone's day.

Not everyone has the gift of gab but we all have manners and anyone who takes the time to post, those words are held close to the heart. To me it isn't so much the wording but the time someone took to express their sentiments.

Well said. Exactly what I was going to reply. Say it from the heart!! It DOES matter.

I am quite shy on the board - I feel that I do not have the knack for expressing myself as I genuinely mean, since I can sometimes read things back and wonder if they will be taken the wrong way.

I figure that practice should improve this though - at least through familiarity I would hope that perhaps people would be likely to give me the benefit of the doubt if anything I write comes out 'wrongly'

So I am trying to improve...

While I'm not shy, I also go back and correct and second guess, but when I posted recently all the comments were precious, some were the same some different, each one was a response and an identification that "Hey, you exist". Kinda lame I know. What you said here does say it very well I think.

I am not good with words. I am short but sweet most of the time. What matters that you did take the time to say something.

I used to write a lot of letters back in "snail mail" days. I am guilty of the "wows" and "good jobs" and short curt remarks concerning peoples projects. Its just a time thing. There are so many posts to read and a person would be on here all day if they took the time to elaborate on each one.Sometimes a few short words are like a hug...it doesnt need a lot of words...

I love words and writing and admit I sometimes use a thesaurus to give me suggestions for a different way of saying something when there are lots of posts. :-D
