    what about using rickrack over the quilt to cover them up?? Just an idea..

    How about an additional line of quilting about 1/4" in from the binding? It would be perpendicular to the piano keys. I suggested 1/4", but would pick a measurement that would catch most of the threads. Then pull the loose threads to the back, put a tiny dot of fray check and cut.

    I wouldn't knot on the back. I cut off the loose threads and start my SITD about three stitches on top of the old. I would also use smaller stitches.

    That is such a clever idea! I have to think about exactly how to do it, and how it would affect the overall look of the quilt. Maybe with a double needle...I'm thinking. I get the best ideas from y'all!

    you should always leave long thread top and bottom beginning and end and tie a knot and then work into back of the quilt you do not have a mess at either end doing this
