Inspector Morse\Inspector Lewis\Endeavour

All of the above named mysteries. I just bought the complete Inspector Morse series and am having a good time watching them. I am afraid Inspector Lewis is going bye bye, now that he is happily hooked up and Hathaway is quiting, who will continue the series? I like Vera, New Tricks, Scott and Baily, and all the others too. I watch them on PBS. I would miss my British mysteries if they were to go away. I love watching Masterpiece Mystery, all of them.

Love all of them. Have watched them for years. Also don't forget Inspector George Gently and Wallander. And a couple of cozies are Hetty Wainthroppe Investigates and Rosemary and Thyme. Some really old ones are The Inspector Lynley Mysteries (2001 TV series) and Wire in the Blood (2002 TV series). And if you like Italy mysteries, try Zen (2011 TV series).

I love the British mysteries. I watch Inspector Lewis, George Gently, Vera, New Tricks, and my two favorites Death in Paradise (set in the Caribbean) and Foyles's War (WWII). I loved the Inspector Lynley series based on books by Elizabeth George (my favorite author) although the characters changed a bit from the books.
And Murder She Wrote was actually filmed in Mendocino, CA. Jessica's house is a bed and breakfast now. I've visited Mendocino and it is a lovely place.

Been watching Inspector Morse from the beginning. Have also read the books and they do a really good job with the series being true to the books. I cried reading the last book when Morse died. I also liked the "Prime Suspect" series with Helen Mirren as the Detective Inspector. It's more contemporary and gritty, but she's great in them.

John Thaw was great as Morse. Handsome too!! I didn't like him in a much earlier comedy. He was too "Morse" for me. I still watch Are You Being Served on PBS. Comes on about my bed time. Done in the 70's about department store employees. Very cute. It's nice going to bed after laughing.
