The last I bought I guess was synthetic :( :shock: sorry.. I got it at Walmart, I think Ace Hardware have it too. I actually bought some from a $1 bin once and it works too. I use about a 90 needle and seems to work fine. Quilter1234

Amazon sells a 200 ft. cotton clothesline. It works out to be a little more than the dollar stores but it is always available. It costs $10.00 and if you are a prime member there is no shipping.
