If this was a mechanical 1008 I wouldnt hesitate. Is a 20 yr old electronic fixable if something needed repair? I might take a trip to my local bernina dealer today. And drool over the machines.

I have the 1260. I bought it used, one owner, serviced regularly, for $450. Which was a bargain. It is my favorite piecing machine.
