Welcome from The Dalles Or. My grandmother made all or most all her quilts from polyester. They last forever.

Hello, and welcome from St. Louis! Double knit quilts are great for picnic quilts. They are indestructable! Heavy to lug around, but will last forever. I have one that I carry in the car! You can make them in any pattern, but simpler patterns work best.

Hi and welcome from Connecticut. I made a picnic quilt from doubleknits. Refused to wear out!

My mom hand stitched a double knit quilt years ago. It is the WARMEST quilt in the history of the world. Think frozen tundra warm.

My grandma used to make cool rugs and pillows from squares of double knit. You cut about a zillion 1.5 - 2 inch squares. Fold them into a triangle and layer them in rows or spirals on a piece of heavy cloth. Depending on the color choices they can be very pretty.
