    I don't like a pounce pad for one reason alone when I quilt I don't like the chalk feeling all over my hands. But it does work good. Even though it is time consuming I draw the lines.

    What works for me is to trace a stencil onto regular tracing paper, pin that to the quilt and sew right over it! You can see the design so easy and it tears right off! In small places you need a tweezer to take the paper off. Good luck!

    I like the EZ brand. Here is a link to them and other places on line. You do have to use a smaller stitch length in order for the stencil to come off easily.
