We had a Zincks near me and I loved it!! It wound up closing because it wasn't generating enough revenue. I really miss the bargains they had.

Oh, this is the best way to find out which shops to visit and which not! I like the nice reminder to not go on a Sunday.
I'll try to keep this info in my head if I ever head down to Ohio!

We carry some fabrics from Zink's of Bernlin Ohiio, in the store where I work. They don't seem to carry regular quilting fabrics, but some great bargain fabrics. We're really liking the 100% polyester flannel for the back of denim quilts. And we got some sports mesh that has gone out on the sidewalk sale for 3 years in a row, and hasn't sold hardly at all. Every-once-in-a-while, they have the wide, heavier, lumber jack flannel or some eyelet fabric. And bandannas for $.25 each. And all kinds of trims. We also buy the heavier white fabric for making quilt frame leaders. I'd sure love to go there some day.

Yes, they do have regular quilt fabric, and a lot of flannel. It's not this years prints but it is known brands. The do have a lot of other types of fabric, polyester for dresses and heavy denim for jeans(for their Amish customers). some flatfolds of mixed content, trims etc. It's not a "cutesy" quilt shop but you can definately get bargains

I'm coming in a little late here, but I was on vacation. I don't know where you are in PA, but there is now a Zinck's in Goodville, PA. It was formerly known as Goodville Fabric Outlet, and is located on Rt. 23 west of Morgantown, PA and east of New Holland, PA. They have a quilting fabric area, a homespun area, a flannel area, trims and notions, and a whole warehouse-sized room of discounted fabrics, ranging from shirtings, to polyesters, to corduroy, etc. etc.

Fabric Shack is probably another 3 hours SW from Zinck's

Great place to go - and lucky enough to be able to go there anytime I want since i'm about 30 min away.
