I'd work on the birdies simply because I love birds and then on a pillowcase for a kid. Something to get your stuff done and something for the soul, making something for donation. It could be the dress too but I have never made one while I am familiar with the pillowcases.

I would go with 6 and/or 7 as an easy warm-up and then #3. I like those jigsaw puzzle pattern, so I'd do that one.

Teen-Nancy Zieman site has directions for Little Dresses for Africa
for donation in addition to many other "Sew to Give" opportunities. You can make with yardage or a pillowcase. Little Dresses for Africa also has a website.

I vote for a pillowcase b/c it would be done quickly and you can mark it off your list!!! Done and Done and a feel of accomplishment. Let us know what you decide.

I would do the ones with deadlines first, because you never know when something unexpected will happen and suddenly that far off deadline is past and gone. Sorry to give such a boring practical answer, but I am a bit boring and practical.

I did a puzzle one, it was fast and easy. Just squares sewn together, and appliqued tabs.

Your last line made me laugh out loud.

I need the voice of boring and practical in my life as I tend toward the opposite. (We married each other, as a matter of fact.)
