Ask the people at the places to which you would like to donate. These people know the sizes they need.

Usually the standard sizes are 38 x 44, 42 x 50 for wheelchairs. Otherwise any larger definitely could get caught in the wheels. By state regulations they must be washed in hot water. I imagine that the rules are pretty standard but you may want to check.
