Fabric, fabric and Oh, did I say fabric? Seriously, I would buy a bigger embroidery machine.

Remodel your sewing area/room. Depending on the amount of bonus, room you have etc, build an extra room onto the house!

I am so torn! Ha ha! Unfortunnnnnnately, can't afford an addition to the house (thanks, QuiltingGrannie!)... Made me smile - think BIG!

I recently moved most of my quilting stuff into our dining room to make room in our extra room for a potential second baby (nothing yet!) and try to adjust myself (i.e., organize) in the dining room before I really get kicked out of that room when the time comes! (Most of the fabric is still in the bedroom.) Maybe I could go for some storage items. But I know I have to do something a little more fun than storage!

I'm so torn...hehe. I guess it's best to sit on this for a while and think about it :) Rulers, quilt kit (I am eye-ing one with the Debbie Beaves Dolce fabric), thread (thanks, luvtsing, for the recommendation for connecting threads)... Do need that walking foot for the Janome.

Anyway... What's the difference between the EQ7 and that QuiltCAD software? From what I read, the QuiltCAD software is for pantographs, which could be cool...and the EQ software is more for designing the tops themselves...which could also be cool. Hmm. Any recommendations?

What about those extension tables for the sewing machines? I have a frame (still have yet to use it -- I'm going to get there soon, kinda scared) for the bigger projects. In light of the fact that I'd be using the frame for the bigger projects, is it really necessary to get an extension table for a Janome 1600 for the smaller projects? I've quilted some things (up to a double or so) on my regular Brother sewing machine without a table and haven't had that big of a problem (except of course the lack of arm space but that was fixed with the Janome purchase).

    Thanks, everybody!

A camera to take photos of your new machine.

you could order one of those big rolls of batting and get quilt stencils, you could get one of those fancy sewing tables, or one of the lights that attach to your sewing machine. I am new to quilting, and there is so much I don't have, so I could go on for ever. God bless. Penny

Quilt kits, fabrics, rulers, and maybe a new cutting board. Have fun shopping.

Enjoy whatever you decide to buy, and save some money to treat your husband to a special dinner out.
