    I like to use stencils for hand quilting. I don't use a hoop....but even with your hooping problems, sounds like you're having a lot of fun!! :D

    I can't answr the question about the hoop but look at

    www.quiltingstencils.com. Their catalog is on line and will give you some ideas abut stencil designs.
