Thanks for idea on the bathroom mat. Had tried different ideas, but years later, I'm still chasing the foot pedal . Can't wait to try it.

Yeah, I chased mine an awful lot today! How does it get back that far?? I think a little troll comes along and drags it away!

Is it possible to change from foot to knee control with new machines? My old Singer that I gave to my son had the knee and I really liked it...my Janome doesn't and if it could be changed, I'd consider doing so.

YOu know those things they put under rugs so they won't skid...how about some of that. I think Joann's sells it ..will get some tomorrow...

Cool! Thanks. I have good contour bath mats going unused because they won't fit well around the large base of our new water-saver toilets, so I dragged one out and put it behind my foot control. It looks like a good plan; I'll try it out tomorrow. I've been using a car floor mat for years, but that barely slows down the travelling foot control.
