the Orient(bamboo),wool and the dream green(recycled bottles) are my new favorites.
Of course they have poly also.
the ease of use and the drape on these is just wonderful
couldn't find it around here so I started selling it!

I personally do not care for polyester, but I think for something that will be washed a lot (crib quilts, kids floor quilts and more) it holds up better without clumping or shifting.
My all time favorite is Hobbs 80-20, I like the weight and the way it washes and dries in the machine.

My favorite batting and my customers' favorite batting is Hobbs 80/20. It needles very easily, washes wonderfully and adds a nice vintage look to the quilt after washed. Second favorite is Hobbs low-loft poly. The poly washes without "puckers" and does not wrinkle easily so works great in quilts that will be folded and stored for a length of time. I have never had any bearding with either of these battings.

I have made poly-batted quilts and never had any problem with bearding - I think I usually use Mountain Mist. However, I have a quilt given to me by my husband's grandmother, and it is bearding all over the place. The quilt top is a poly-blend and it is hand-quilted. I don't know if the hand quilting matters or not, but it seems like some of the bearding is occuring through the holes made by the needle.
I have used a lot of Hobbs 80/20 and I like that. I'm not sure if I have used warm and natural or not.

My quilting teacher said NOT to use W&N due to the cotton seeds left in the batting after processing will eventually "leak" oil thru the top leaving a black stain. I know that lots of seasoned quiters use W&N but I will not. Teacher also said she recommends 80/20 batting. I have used Mountain Myst 80/20 and am now trying Hobbs 80/20.
