Nice! Good job in picking up the quilt. As I looked at the quilt, I felt a little sad. Someone obviously didn't appreciate the work that went into that quilt. I'm glad that you bought it and will have appreciation for what a quilter from another age had done.

Lucky you ... beautiful quilt! The patterns are an amazing find, too! Like some other people here, I inherited quilts and patterns (from the KC newspaper) from my husband's grandmother ... what treasures!

Can't wait to see what you find on your next visit!

I use top sheets as backing all the time. It is much cheaper and you have leftover material. As a matter of fact, yesterday I went to the local thrift shop and bought a twin top sheet for only $8.00.

Where did you find sheets for, let alone queen size for only 1.99??
