ok, I looked at the Singer that I listed from my first grandmother and it is the Singer 201, black w/gold accents-electric. I have only recently obtained this jewel and will have my brother put a new power cord on it before I try to use it because well.......you can just look at it and tell you shouldn't plug it in!

    I have 6 machines in total !!!!!

My main sewing machine is a Bernina and that is the one I use the most. I have a Singer Quilter's addistion for classes. A Viking just for backup and just because. 2 Featherweights because I like them andthey are collectors items. I have my great grandma's treadle machine I learned to sew on.

    I have 5.

    Husqvarna Viking Rose for embroidery
Juki 98QE, recently purchased and love!
Singer Touch n Sew 757- still use- probably going to step daughters in July for her to use.
Singer Touch N Sew 767, for other daughter, my friend gave me because she couldn't find the power cord. Got one online and now needs to go for a checkup.
Singer Merritt- bought on ebay. Nothing but issues and a seller who didn't know what it was. Not a total waste yet, will send for a check up and see if it straightens it's act out. Will give to other daughter if it's OK.

So, in the end I will have 2 machines.

Wow!! I am overwhelmed at the number of sewing machines you ladies own. I have ONLY two. One is my Bernina that I do all my sewing on and the other is an old Singer featherweight that I take to classes, etc with me. I gave my youngest daughter my old 1975 Singer in a cabinet and she loves it better than her new Brother. Instead of buying sewing machines I spend my money on fabric. My stash overwhelms me-yet I keep buying!

I think sewing machines can be as much an addiction for me as fabric! I currently have 10:

2 Husqvarna Vikings, a Designer 1 and a Scandinavia 400 (both combo machines)
1 Brother PE-700 Embroidery Only machine
    1 Janome 204D Serger
1 1974 Singer Touch N Sew 758 (bought for the huge cabinet, but it's my favorite piecing machine)
Those are the sewing machines I use the most. I also have:
1 Singer Tiny Serger (that has serged countless yards of needlework fabric)
1 White 970 (my first brand new sewing machine back in 1995)
Both of these I keep for sentimental reasons :-)
I got interested in antique machines, so I have:
1 1918 Singer Redeye Treadle (my pride and joy)
1 1910 White Treadle (with the wooden box on top) I know the lady's granddaughter that owned this, & am searching for a proper home for this one-owner machine.
1 1961(ish) Necchi Miranda (waiting on new wiring but runs great)

    Whew!
