Not only are we a diverse group, but it seems that many of us have had diverse careers.

    For me:
    Clerk at Elementary School Library
    Clerk at Dept of Transportation
Clerk Typist at DOT (finally improved my typing to pass the test)
Secretary to Asst Fotball Coaches at Fla State University
Secretary to Market Analyst SE Sales Zone Frito Lay
Visa Rep and Secretary to bank VP
    Grocery Checker
    Deputy Clerk of Circuit Court
Secretary to Regional Sales Manager at major US poultry producer
Sales/Production Coordinator at NC plant of another major US producer
Export Sales to Hong Kong/China for Perdue Poultry
Trader of Pork/Poultry to Hong Kong/China for an international trading company in Atlanta
Logistics for same trading company moving freight from US East Coast and West Coast to HK/China.
Now best of all -- RETIRED! I am loving it.

Also, if you have a facility near you that performs clinical trials ( not just cancer..) find out about participating in a trial, it could help you or someone you know; and some trials are compensated. thanks for letting me ramble!

I am currently working in the Record Office at a state prison. We keep all the records (court, sentencing, disciplinary), other than medical, for almost 700 offenders. There are only two of us so we stay VERY busy. I am in my 12th year there. Before that, I had spent 25 years working clerical positions for 2 different hospitals and 2 different doctor's offices. Along the way, I have been blessed with a wonderful daughter, granddaughter, and numerous furbabies along the way.

The only difference between being a wife and mom is that when you are gainfully employeed by a company you have an instruction manual to go by. The wife/mom has to fly by the seat of her pants; so can't you see why she should be paid more.
I'm a wife/mom/grandmother/great-grandmother and I work full time at our childrens hospital in the IS dept. My youngest daughter and her two kids live with me and on my 3 days a week I get off I watch her kids to save her money. I would't trade it for anything.

I'm a retired florist, and currently a frustrated, unpublished, short-story writer. Oh yeah, also most importantly ~ a quilter!
