Oh! Forgot to mention, am taking my own advice and replaced my rotary blade yesterday. I wasn't rolling the wheel enough when I was trimming off dog ears and made just a couple of ticks on the blade. It started skipping just one thread on one level, still plenty of life left in it but annoying.

I cut my paper towels, and made a light weight cardboard cutting template before replacing the blade. Ah, fresh blades... feels good!

    And it's up!

    https://quiltville.blogspot.com/2025...part-five.html

That's the general link, looks like I need to add the PDF link,
    https://quiltville.com/pdf/Lupine_LaughterPt5.pdf

Looks like I was wrong on the blue but correct on the "we must start putting things together" part.

I'm looking for clarification but to me it is clearly Purple for the new cutting, even though the fabrics she is using are more of a blue-purple.

Images from Bonnie's blog site are not coming up for me. Anyone else having this problem?

I think there are some general internet issues going on. I was fine on Bonnie's page but was hung up in a loop over here at quilting board.

If you are still having issues later today let me know and we can try options to get the PDF at least to you.

Thank you, Iceblossom. I was able to print out the PDF of instructions, minus the images. I should be good for now.

I won't have to cut this week, as I see no reason to cut the purple and neutral squares until I can pair them purposefully with my QSTs. I look forward to seeing how your units will look.

I'm very intrigued with this block, because Bonnie has chosen such a low contrast center for it. It reminded me a little of the En Provence block center, which was also low contrast (that one had a neutral 4-patch center surrounded by a QST with lavender adjacent to the neutral). I think I get more impatient to see the reveal the closer we get!

I think you're right - even though she doesn't seem to state it overtly at the beginning, she does say "Press seams toward the purple corner squares and toward the center neutral square." later on. :-)

Sharp eyes Gemm, thanks for the find!

I'm about halfway done with my Clue 4s, at least for sewn and pressed (not trimmed). Strips were cut for all, so it is mostly a matter of sitting myself down and getting through them. I'm thinking going out for breakfast may be a better idea this morning...

Haven't really looked at my Clue 5 yet. I think I will go random with the neutrals and not try to match the hourglass blocks with the centers.

All the way through the Christmas Music. I remember to skip the "Kitty Christmas" album (which come on after the Froggy version). Last year Harley the dog bounded downstairs in great distress to try and find the cats on top of the bookshelf (where the speakers are)... Startled us both with the meow meow meow...

I'm going to wait on clue 5 to see how it plays out in the mystery. Not sure I like the low contrast in the center but may like it better when more is revealed.

What I see is the purple squares rather than the star, but what comes later may balance things out.
