ROTFLMBO I have a bridge to sell too. $100???
We need a page just for stupid CL posts... only they never stay up very long... CL is entertaining isn't it
CL is like a comic book sometimes it will make you laugh at the silly ads they post but sometimes it will make you cry!!!!!
I thought of you and your terrific clean up jobs Miriam...I have a friend in that area that can pick it up for ya!! LOL

I roared with the "Needs some work"!!

Glenn...you are SO right!!
Quote: I just had to do that on 2 machines and my 319 needs it. There is a set screw somewhere - I don't have a 301 but it is likely to the right in the body of the head. You can turn loose and then move the tension. I found helpful info here - nice to have expert help to refer to.... http://www.tfsr.org/publications/tec...achine_manual/ then look at tension mechanism. There are only a few ways those can go... You may have info in your user's manual... http://www.ismacs.net/singer_sewing_...ine-manual.pdf but it is only the owners manual...
Yes, Miriam you are a "super member". I am off to the sewing room/machine to check this out. I looked at the manual and the adjustment manual but no info on what I was looking for!! Thank you very much for this info.
Miriam is my hero! I love that she digs right into her machines with no fear...and I love that she encourages others to do so too!
Mine came from Billy. I was thrilled to get it...he had it in stock. I've done business with him before and he's always fast and trustworthy!! 5 stars in my book!!
Quote: Vaccination might work at least for a while - you just put your finger over that little hole where the needle goes in the machine and then run the machine..... it can easily be done by accident....
How do you know?
Quote: Pics of Singer 201 (hopefully)
That is nice. Have you come up with a name yet? I vote for.....Precious!

Monica that little wall hanging above the 319w on my Murphy Bed is one of the Patchability patterns. I used my 1961 Rocketeer 503A and metallic thread to create a (sort of) tension assembly. I did all the decorative stitches with the 503a! It was a fun little project! But, the 'Singer" name was done on my Pfaff embroidery (very modern) machine!

First the fabric bowls and now this work of art!
