Not that important, just always wanted to do 1 1/2"...if I continue cutting my scraps down like I have, I should be there in a few years again!!! LOL

"You can join in the Postage Stamp Swaps here on the board. There are several per year. Another is coming soon!
If you PM me your address, I can send you some squares."

When this group does a Postage Stamp square swap, is it only for 1 1/2" squares. I'm doing 2" squares, so would be interested in that size swap.

My MIL made 4 of these last year and she just used strips. She did one row of a color and one row of white or cream so that the blocks would be one color one white and so forth. She used all her scrap up. We all had favorite colors and mine is blue so she used a blue border and all the blue in the quilt stands out. The one she did for herself she used a red boarder and all the reds pop in the quilt. My other SIL's wanted a green one and a yellow one so they all look so different but she used the same blocks in all of them. They are all so beautiful and unique.

This sounds very interesting, do you have a pic you could post of one of the quilts.

Never prewash...don't like losing the sizing already in the fabric

No i'm not sure how many she used. This quilt will cover the top of our king size bed. Honestly when I saw her making these I thought she was nuts. I know she would save her strips from other quilts and add a row of white. I remember her saying something about sewing in sets of ten.
