Yes and no ... It'd be a fun thing for them, though I'm not sure if it'd be a good beginners project with the "hard" fabric, it might not be as easy for them to work with? Just a thought!

Idea ... because of the type of "fabric" ... how about some large aprons mad?? would be perfect for those who splash as they wash!

I made a tote bag out of the cat food bags like that and got a third place ribbon at my fair last year! You can always make them and then give to animal shelters, vets, etc.

Cut them into two inch strips, sew those together, and crochet a door mat to scrape off mud

Darn you! you're getting my mind turning way too fast again too ... no animal feed here anymore, though have lots of friends to source it from. Not sure though if our Canadian feedbags have gone so colourful as yours in the USA!
QuiltE we all come to the board to keep the wheels a turning and the motor running!!! G

How about a rain coat for the barn? I think it was Coats & Clark that had an instruction sheet for a raincoat made out of plastic bags.... I don't know where they got the cute bags from.... when I actually get bags, they mostly say 'Walmart'..

I had fun making a tote bag...(actually it drove me crazy!!) it is a sorta' plastic woven bag, which continued to unravel as I worked with it!! BUT, (bad picture), the bag came out good..I even lined it! I intend to look around for more colorful bags to make more.
