I got to go to the National Quilt Musuem in Paduca, Ky. I did stop a her shop and was really impressed with all that I saw. I did purchase some books and fabric. I found her prices fair and wonderful selection. I would say order.

I have been in her shop in San Marcos, and she only sells top quality fabric, but is never afraid to discount to turn fabric for bringing in new lines....I'd go for it :-)

I've just discovered they have an online shop, "Quilt In A Day" and am eager to purchase some of her fabric, partly as a thank you for all the free videos I have learnt from and partly to develope a nice little stash.

Her prices, at least in Aussie terms are dirt cheap - $3 to $10 a yard.

Do any of you ladies shop there? If you do, can you please give me a recommendation?

I want to buy one of her books, some rulers and fabric and am excited - but I'd hate to place a nice order if the fabric isn't very good.

I really appreciate this board's help.

I've purchased several times from that site. I pick fabrics I have seen in shops or go by manufacturer's names. I've had good experiences.

wow really will at least it is on grain but i would order a little extra if the edge might need trimming......but on grain is a real plus unless it is a printed stripe or plaid that is printed off grain

While checking out her site, I noticed she has a 50% off shipping on International shipping thru Sept. 10. Not bad.

Good luck in your purchase & be sure to post pics of your completed treasures.

Have a blessed day & may all your quilts be filled w/love.

And I've got it. I placed my "stash" order with Eleanor and am expecting a good experience.
be sure to post when your order arrives, inquiring minds want to know

Her log cabin book is my favorite, in fact I made one of my first quilts using that book. I have quite a few of her books.

I purchased some of her fabric at her shop in Paducah, KY when I attended the quilt festival. I have no complaints about it. Met her and she is a nice person.

Is she the lady that throws fabric away over her shoulder if something doesn't come our right?

I live local to the San Marcos store, about an hour or a bit more away and have visited shop and been to her quilt camp in Jullian. Sometimes i have seen fabric a bit less than awesome but not ever bad and it has been a very small amount. She does have a rep to uphold and I would be surprised if you got something of bad quality.
