I love the watermelon fabric. As you said it is bright and not limited to age. It will be a awesome quilt. I wish I had that fabric. :P

Black and red are supposed to be stimulating colors for babies, so I think the fabrics are perfect! Please post a picture when you are finished!

Love your Ohio Rose quilt. Absolutely stunning. I think that bright colours are fine for babies. I think that most people today love bright colours. I like the sound of the 3D pinwheels with the fabrics you have chosen.....it is going to look fantastic!!
