Persevere with this one...I think the end result will be well worth it.....as a very dear friend of mine would say (when things were tough going or a little bit "sticky") "Courage brother, do not stumble"....

Wow, that's a really nice looking block, I've never seen a star in a star like that, very cool!

We all think blocks are easy until we start them. Just keep on making them and they will be easy before you know it.

Thanks all. I hadn't seen this block before but I found it on Quilter's Cache and then drew it in EQ6.

I messed up on the circled corner. I guess I wasn't thinking when I squared up that block. It's square overall but looks like I didn't make it square with the 45 degree angle in the center of the block.

If I were a pro I'd take it out and re-do it. Since I'm not... it's staying as it is.

okay, so I missed the point that you saw, but I noticed that section was off kilter a little bit ONLY because you told me! Shame on you! <g> It is a beautiful block ...
My first thought was: I'll bet she got it off of quilt cache ... and, there are some shortcuts that aren't listed there ...
Go to your LQS ... find the Elenor Burns VICTORY QUILTS book, and "peruse" it a bit ... she has a short cut for those quarter square squares that will take about fifteen headaches out of your head IMMEDIATELY!
Let us know what you think in three days <g>.
By the way, it is time for the 20-20 lesson.
If you can drive past the quilt at twenty feet going twenty miles an hour and STILL see the mistake, it is time to fix it.
I seriously doubt that your beautiful block qualifies.
    Back to work, girl!

I couldn't see it till you circled it, so it can't be that bad. ;-)

It's an awesome block, the quilt is going to look amazing.
