    I just used my scraps to make the border. They aren't all the same size either. I used paper I bought from WalMart that is used in adding machines. I bought a couple of rolls and sometimes just do my scrap sewing on them. I iron them, then sit and tear the paper off when I'm not in a concentrated sewing mood.
