I use mine when I take my machine for a sewing retreat day with friends. At home, I prefer to have the machine set down in the table. Much easier on my neck and shoulders. But much better than the small "table" that comes with a machine!

I have the sew mates table and love it. I can adjust it for my vintage machines or any machine, the legs do the adjusting. It is made in the US and it is great, better than the sew steady, fixed leg one.

I have one and love it and take it with me when I'm going to a class. It really does make a big difference.

Mine is sitting in the closet. It works fine for everything except free motion quilting. The quilt catches on the edge of the table.
I now have a cabinet that my machine sits level with the table, love it. My machine is oversized so bought a bertha cabinet.
One of my Brother cheap machines came with a extension table. It is not the clear acrylic but a solid plastic.

I, too, love mine...the only flaw is when FMGing, the quilt gets hung up on the back right corner, but if you put something just under that corner, it can;t get wrapped around it. I have a pretty big one- 18x24? Great product. They have a polishing compound that you can buy with it that will keep it slippery and shiney!

I have a small one and I am looking forward to buying a larger one for quilting. It is so handy to have. Of course it doesn't fit when you have your embroidery unit on. It is to be put on over the free arm for sewing.

The adjustable extension that Bonnie Hunter uses comes from sewingmates.com and you can adjust them to fit any/all machines you have.

Absolutely, you don't use it when you embroidery, just for sewing. Personally, I wouldn't get any smaller than 18 x 24 and I think Allbrands probably has the best price. They are cut to fit your specific machine.

Most of you have given this item a very nice review. I have been considering getting one for a while and thanks to you all I have made up my mind to go for it. Thanks for the help.
