Love your blocks! I'm with the others on using black for sashes.

The black brings it all together for me. I would do narrow 1/2 inch finished strips though.

The black sashing makes it look like a modern oriental design. The blocks are so good, that I don't think you can mess them up no matter how you choose to finish them. Great job!

I just added black sashing to my latest quilt but only cut it 1 and 1/2 inch and it worked really well. your blocks are very striking so I suggest black sashing but make it very narrow

Your blocks are great! My first thought was black sashing, then I read all the other replies. I think the little bit of black just makes the blocks pop.

I wouldn't sash it but would border it with a whole lot of little blocks that echo the middle ones. I woul put a 1" border around the outside of the quilt you have displayed and frame each of the little block tiles with the same colour. My choice would be a dark brown, maroon, green or blue. Black as a last choice. Nice quilt, by the way.

Either way is wonderful! Big help, right? If I really had to choose, I'd say yes to black sashing, no border, bind in print. Just my 2 cents...

Thanks for posting the second photo. It helps to see it visually and I do think the black sashing will set the blocks off nicely.

I have to agree with this comment... I didn't even notice the offset, and the sashing would really make that "bounce" stand out... and yes, black would do the trick.

I like it just as it is. Why not just a very narrow black frame around the blocks then a border?
