Guess I'm not awake yet, as I thought you meant the lighthouse (duh), but now I get it, what a perfect place to sew threads, notions and projects. I have very limited sewing space, so I have to put everything away when I go to bed, which is my "extra space" when I'm sewing.

That is a wonderful little cabinet - I would love to have one next to my chair that I sew in while watching TV.

It's very pretty. Here in the North West, there are always little cabinets like this for sale on CL. What people don't know though is that often they were built with wood or plywood scraps brought home from the mills. Back in the 30's and 40s there were a lot of mill workers who were also quite handy at furniture making. I have a few pieces that my Grandfather and my Uncle's father built back then.

If it's not antique, it is definitely vintage and so pretty. Lucky you!

I have one also with the swing out drawer like yours. Mine only has 2 drawers though. Got it at a thrift store a few years ago.

    Yes, it is veneer.

Congratulations on the find. It looks like it will be quite useful. I think you've gotten a great deal and you know how we're always looking for more storage - looks like you've found some!
