Fantastic table. You are very lucky to have a son that cares enough about your sewing comfort to ask to make you something to make sewing easier. Great son!

What treasures, your son and the gift he made for you.

I think there is a blueprint for the sewing table you are thinking about, that has shelves underneath. For several years the plans were advertised on some of the sites that sold patterns, etc. It was one of those items I was always going to order and never did.

On the website for Keepsake Quilting, search for Terry Hire, sewing table plans.

Nice table. What a great son you have. I just bought a new sewing machine and need to have someone modify my sewing table so that it will work that way. Hope it turns out as good as yours did.

Awesome table. You can both be proud, you of your son, and he can be proud of the great job he did.

Boy oh boy do I ever love that sewing table! He did a fantastic job on something that you will enjoy every single day. I have always loved woodworking & envy those who have that special skill to work with wood. I love how he made it so your machine fits perfect in it & is flush with the top of the table. You will really like having all that table top to work with. The inch lines on the top of the table was a wonderful idea. It keeps you from having another "tool" on top of your table (tape measure, ruler, etc.) What a brilliant idea. Now why don't manufacturers of professionally made sewing tables ever think of things like that? I bet they "steal" his idea someday. Thanks for sharing ... what a fine son you have!
