Although I am a REAL newbie on this matter - I think the answer is yes and no. I think it depends on the pattern and the direction. If you are doing a basic stipple you could go either direction so it would not matter.

lucky girl! my hubby is a keeper too, he let me get my HQ 16 2 years ago.
I love your room, wspecially the wood ceiling:)

Thanks. The biggest problem is that every available space is taken, so the ironing board will be kind of in the way :( . I need to do LOTS of practice. I am piecing a baby quilt for my best friends daughter who is expecting in June. I want it to be perfect (OK so I am still struggling with that "cozy quilter" thing :lol: )

Oh - that is what I really wanted but could not justify that kind of $$ right now.

Thanks , the whole house has that type of ceiling. It is a timber frame.

Lucky, lucky you. Your DH is a keeper! I love your sewing room. What a great place to wile away the happy hours playing with fabric! Thanks for sharing.

Love your room! I wouldn't have space enough for a long arm if I got rid of every tote of fabric I have and there's absolutely no chance of that happening. Enjoy your new baby and be sure to let us know how you like it. Want to see some of your experimenting.
