Lower Michigan...sort of like I generalize by saying the Florida Panhandle...

I hail from Michigan myself.
With no maternity hospital in the home area, mother birthed me in Kalamazoo, and my husband was born in the same hospital for the same general reason.

So our areas of Southern Michigan are Van Buren Co, Berrien Co, Kalamazoo Co, Calhoun Co, Barry Co...more South West.

Still have family up there in those parts somewhere...
DH was in the Military for over 22 years. No work for him in Michigan when he retired from Navy, so we are still where they last put us ...at the corner of hurricane alley and oil slick boulevard.
