Bag balm and socks at night, it'll heal and soothe.

I was thinking also, that some type of cream that acted like a protectant could be added to the treatment regimen and be helpful. Like Avon's Silicone Glove. My LQS just started carrying something called "Glove in a Bottle" supposedly bonds with the outer layer of skin and then acts like a protective glove. The pamphlet that came with the sample says it is available at 13,000 pharmacies, garden centers, and quilt shops across the country. Haven't tried it yet, but maybe one of your LQS is sampling it and you could try it for free. Went to their website and you can search by zip code, I see you are in AZ and I noticed there are a ton of places you can get it in Phoenix for example.

Good luck, sounds like it is very painful for you. Hope you get relief soon.

I also have a specially mixed preparation with urea/cortisone for my back and upper arms as I have Keratosis Pilaris, which looks like a rash or acne, but isn't.

The urea in the Eucerin and other preparations causes the moisture to become locked into the skin, keeping it from drying out, and also is an exfoliant, causing the dead skin to shed and not build up. It's been a godsend for me, as my heels would be painful all year, and my hands would bleed from the dryness of winter...all winter. Nothing else I've tried over the years worked like this.
    will this work for psoriasis

You can get Udder Blam in Hancocks and it comes in a black and white (cow print) tin. It smells better than the Bag Balm that is sold at farm supply stores but it's also a LOT more expensive. Bag Balm is used on cows to sooth dry cracked udders. It's some wonderfully healing stuff. You could also try Corn Huskers lotion. Eucerin is good and there's also a medicated lotion that's for diabetics. I don't remember the name of it but if you go to the Walmart Pharmacy and ask they'll know what it is. They keep it behind the counter because it's expensive--about $30 for a bottle that's not all that big, maybe 12-14 oz.

have you tried to use nipple cream? it has lanolin in it to help with tender cracked nipples on breast feeding mommies. i use it on my boobs and have started to use a little on my feet it helps. I have a really bad problem with cracked feet. it is on the ball and big toe. never had a problem until last year when i went to the pool. at night or when ever i take a shower i try and use a salt scrub on my feet then scrub with a loofa. this helps and if i use coconut oil to rub after the bath and then before bed put on a lotion that helps a ton. I would stay away from Vaseline because it clogs the pores in your feet so they will not "sweat". the udder cream will help a lot also. hope that this helps.

Haha I wish I could keep shoes on! I feel all claustrophobic when I wear any kind of shoes for too long.

All of these ideas are great! I remember my mom using Eucerin a ton when i was little now that I think of it...I tried vaseline last night...no change :( perhaps a trip to the drug store is in order..

I saw Crack Creme at Walmart, Honestly I did not make that up! I remembered the name because we laughed about it all the way home. I told hubby I was going to get him some to go with the can of "Monkey Butt Powder" I got him.

I use Dermal Therapy cream ( get mine in the Walmart pharmacy)here in Canada. No more ped egg. The dryness & dead skin just disappear. At first I used daily now weekly when I remember.
