    It occurred to me that I should probably have put a close up pic of the boot block in the post, so here ya go.

    Thanks to you all for your wonderful replies and kind words. You're all right about the "team" thing - hubby and I are definitely a team, in many, many ways and getting better at it every day we're blessed to wake up together.
