I've had to tell my husband.....

I did take up washing and drying dishes when I retired, bought 2 new sets of dishes and don't want them chipped like the old ones.
He does the outside work, big yard with hedges to trim and lots of trimming.
We had hardwood floors put in a couple of years ago and believe me much easier to clean than carpets. Vinyl flooring in kitchen, bath and utiliy room. Makes cleaning faster and easier.
Still do deep cleaning but, I don't get carried away by doing it several times a month, as I use to do. I'm older now also.

I think if it were left up to my husband, I wouldn't be able to stand the clutter!!! I just had to relax my standards of clean after he retired.....Although I enjoy quilting a lot, it isn't my priority in life.....near the top though!! :D

In that case we go grab a bite somewhere or cook together. Now that I have a broken foot, he is doing everything until I can get around better. He makes a wonderful Nurse. LOL
