Happy New Year -- Sounds like lots of things going on in our non-quilting lives!
Yay Quossum! Finishes are always good. Try not to obsess too much on the big numbers, it can be daunting... my technique is just to put totals in terms of just "lots and lots". It doesn't seem so bad when I'm cutting to think of how many sets I need instead of how many individual units. Just mind games to keep me going. And you can also tell yourself, At least I'm not 'Blossom making extra units
Petthefabric, so sorry about the Berninas. Non-quilters don't really get why we do actually need multiple machines. I ranked my bernina going out of service right there after Car and Computer as issues I don't need or want but have to take care of.
Craftybecksa, so glad you are back to being up and sewing along with the rest of life stuff. Is a great time to start the project either doing it still as a mystery or looking ahead and making different fabric choices or block sets. The thread will still be active for weeks, and up all year so we can join you in your recovery and quilting.
I'll use this as a reminder to make sure you print off your clues to keep with your project if you are going to do this later or just in case the project becomes a UFO. After about Valentine's Day, the clues will be taken down but you can buy a non-mystery version of the pattern if needed.
I'm up in the middle of the night with my "usual" insomnia issues. Had a bad night a week or so ago and it takes time to readjust. But in good news, I am -- not quite caught up! But I am on Clue 6. I did get my sets put together, made a first set, and am now on the first rounds of sewing. Still looks so weird to me and I have to fight to put my large half-square piece with the white (my pink) to the corner and not inside as the diagram shows. The rectangles are going along ok... the seam sure feels weird to me as I'm pinning and sewing. Some of my units came out perfectly, most were ok, and a few others really weirdly off. I'm not going to worry about them too much, they are the right size at least.

Progress Pix!
Just happened out of the blocks I've done so far, the top row has Gray (Bonnie's Purple) from my friend Barb/trip to Arizona -- thinking of you!! You can also see my notebook comments of Pink = White. The top corner shows the edge of the roasting pan I'm using for my sets. Is nice to be stacking them up (empty), and refilling my little clip tin.
Almost time for me to go back to bed, again best wishes for a happy new year.

I'm back sewing!! Both machines are being worked on but I received a small bonus and used it to pick up a basic Janome from Walmart. Today that Janome and I were spending some quality time getting to know each other. Back to working on this mystery tomorrow.

No reveal -- but an easy week using some of the Blue and Neutral.
Plus, a correction in count needed for the Part 6 units.

Thanks for the link.
I'm not good at review, aka going backwards to catch up. To many people this would be no big deal. Also, I have a hard time keeping a journal or reviewing history. This trait has it's faults. So, just saying, it's how I am. Everyone makes mistakes. Grace and mercy wins. I'll go back and make 1 more set.
Part 7 will take accuracy. And I'm ready to use the blue again.

This should make everyone happy who was hoping for blue! It seems to me like the kind of clue that in previous years would have been included in the reveal, so maybe next week we will see the quilt!
I am approaching the halfway point in putting my Indigo Way together.

joe'smom, good job on your Indigo Way progress. I'm still working on mine, ready to put the neutral and blue borders back on and hope that my measuring is correct this time and the waves disappear.
I now have another sewing machine (Janome), while I wait for my Singer 99 and my Elna 500 to be fixed. Now to sew and catch up with this mystery.

Today's progress -- I am officially caught up and have started Clue 7! Since I am making extra units anyway, I didn't have to do anything for the missed Clue 6 count.
I think we are likely to have the reveal next week. Is possible that we will have one more assembling units together step first -- we still have the geese and a set of HST to use. I'm thinking we may have one more set of just a few Blue (squares) cut...
Each clue I've been using up some of my smaller bits of fabric. I figured we were almost out of neutral but some of my leftovers weren't shaped so well for this clue. I've gone through and combined (sewn together) what scraps I have to make 4 sets, typically that was 2-3 full pieces and 1-2 pieced... The rest of the cutting will be easier, just strips off of yardage but there will be less variety in this step than in some of the previous.
I'd like to do a bit more cutting today, but I'm good with where I'm at... For this step I will be cutting as directed (instead of large), and drawing lines on the backs of my "blue" squares.
