Well I can only say you must have known that once I opened them up and looked at them more closely that I would be happier with them. When I first opened them earlier I saw a lot of 'pastels' and they are not my favorite but there are quite a few brighter ones in here too. I think the pictures are somewhat fuzzy but you can see I bought a lot! I got the 1930's fat quarter fabric collection from Keepsake quilting.

That's a real nice variety of prints & solids..You'll be very happy after you get a couple of blocks put together...I put a few combinations of fabrics & solids together & left them on the table..I switched & moved them around untilI got the combination I liked for a particular block.. I'm following colors close to the block shown but there are a few that will be totally different....I'm having a problem getting colors put together for one in particular so I'll be cringing as I sew that one together....

I'm glad you said that because I was planning on trying to match the blocks in color as close as I can and wondered if thats what

You have to remember that this is YOUR quilt and you need to be happy with the colors you choose...sometimes think outside the box and do it the way you want...

Yes, and this one is for me and I really like the one on the cover of the book so I know it will be pretty. Thanks Honchey.

I got the 50 Fat quarters (prints)and 14 Fat Quarters in solids from Keepsake Quilting. And until I opened them up, I wasn't sure myself. I didn't have a stash of 1930's because one or two of the fabrics are not my favorite, but I love all the quilts I see done with the colors, so this will be something totally different for me, and I know I'm going to love it too Pam P.

My stash is so deep, and so higgledy piggledy that my fabrics will be all over the place! I have literally scraps of vintage fabrics I want to use. I plan to "color outside the lines" by doing whatever I please with each block. With 99 blocks and a hodgepodge of colors, there's no telling how many small projects I'll end up with from this!

I love scrappy, and I do a ton of miniatures, so my stash is made up of a zillion smaller pieces of fabric. Not much yardage other than I buy white by the bolt. And am thinking of buying black by the bolt as well. Then I can make just about anything. I also like that I'll be able to do different ways to sew the blocks together, from piecing by machine, to hand piecing, paper piecing. This will keep me from being bored as well.

Klgreene, I think you and I bought exactly the same thing. I got the solids too! It will be interesting to see if we make any of the same blocks. CookyIN, I envy (admire) your ability to do that, I don't have much of a stash so I would have had to buy fabric anyway, but hey maybe I will have stash one of these days!
