Glenn, it looks like you had a very successful trip up to Indy to see Miriam. You got some great machines there, and I'll bet you were a great help to her in the process! I love the little hand crank. I'd like one like that too.

Glenn your machines are lovely, but when are you going to show off that Two Spools. Is it an Eldredge or a National? Either way it's the same machine. I find the Two Spools very interesting machines that are wonderful machines for piecing. Enjoy them all!
WOW! I WANT this machine, but there is no way I could justify spending $2,000 just because I want it!

Nancy, I thought I saw one like this on the Modesto CL about a year ago for around $200. It would take a special collector to pick up this one at $2,000. Most folks don't have the space or interests in these machines, even at $200.Originally Posted by BoJangles

Fun to look at though.
Here's one that was gifted to me this weekend. I was the first to respond on CL so she let me have it. It came with a vintage, Singer cabinet that needs a total restoration. It took me several hours to clean it up, put on a new belt and repair the stuck feed dogs. 2 parts missing, though. I need to find a bobbin winder tension unit with screw, for the bed of the machine. And it's missing the light. I'm leaning towards finding either a silver, vintage light or if I have to, buying a repro light and painting it red to match the logo. Anyone have extras (a light or tension unit with screw) they'd want to sell me?

I'm finding that price to be a leeeeeeeeeeetle high! Could be wrong, but I'd bet it didn't appraise for that much. Not only that, but 1872 does NOT "pre-date Singer" who started in 1851.Originally Posted by BoJangles

That being said, it's a pretty machine, and would be way cool to own!
