    My daughter's motto- "DONE" is better than "PERFECT"- use sashing or alternating squares to stretch it out, and enjoy the creative process. It is an wonderful gesture to one who gave you so much. Prayers for a continuing successful recovery!

    Here is the final layout without borders. Next weekend I will add borders. Thanks again to all that posted and helped to keep my on task yesterday.. 7.5 hours minus a lunch break and it's done!

    I like your final layout, extra white strips makes the stars shine. If the flying geese you made are in the same fabrics maybe you can incorporate them in the border.

    I did a quilt and used the sashing to make additional stars. Don't have to be exact, can just add squares to each corner of sashing and a cornerstone. Really quick.

    I also like the 4x5 block setting in lieu of 5x5 cuz I prefer rectangular quilts. Your stars look good and GOOD LUCK in meeting your goal date.
