I just read an article on how bats are dieing off from a diease and they could be extinct in a few years if they cannot find a cure/treatmenr for it. Without bats eating bugs our crops will be destroyed and then shortage of food. Kinda of creepy little buggers but very very important to the enviroment.

I'm one of those people that are fascinated with bats. I take any opportunity to study them up close (just inches away). I have not been brave enough to try to hold one but they sure are cool little animals. Imagine having those leathery wings and being able to fly as a mammal! I grew up and lived by lakes all of my life until we moved out to Nevada a few months ago. Bats were just a part of summer. I was THE only kid in my neighborhood who purposely sat out to watch them exit buildings right after dusk. That video was great! Thanks so much for sharing. Those little critters were just hunkering down in a place where they could stay nice and warm for their day's sleep! I hope they find a new place soon. I wonder if they have a way of re-grouping into the same colony at a new location?
