Aren't you a wonderful friend! I know Roger appreciates such thoughtfulness! The quilt is absolutely lovely!

You did such a great job using plaids and checks. Something I have yet to master. (Mental block due to all those plaid uniforms I wore for school.) As block of the month chair a few years ago the block looks like the block called Cracker. Is it?
Your friend looks so pleased and he should enjoy it for years to come.

I don't know what the name of the block is, when researching friendship blocks, Google images made it appear before me. I don't remember my search terms, but I save the photo for inspiration knowing someday I'll be making a signature quilt. I did that two weeks ago.

One thing I forgot to mention in my post, is that for the seven days I worked on this quilt, I did it at camp in my trailer. That includes cutting, sewing, squaring up blocks, pressing, sandwiching, and quilting and binding. I guess not having Internet or TV really cut down my distractions and kept me focused.

That is a really fine gift. As always, I think this gift from the heart will improve his recovery.

What a lovely quilt. I can't believe you did it so quickly! Most of all, it is such a kind and loving thing to do and your friend will certainly know that he is thought of and prayed for by his friends.
