I love the British mystery series also. My favorites: New Tricks, Inspector Lewis, Rosemary and Thyme, Endeavour, Midsommer Murders, and Death in Paradise! People have been giving me sets of Lewis, R & T, and New Tricks for birthdays and Christmas so I can indulge in them whenever I want. What bliss!

I LOVE Midsumer Murders and Inspector Lewis. Still have to check out Endeavour. Another one I grew to like is "A Touch of Frost" and then there is "Taggart" which is a bit darker.

I'm a Monk fan too. I've watched them over and over. Anyone ever watch Homicide: Life on the Street? The series ended in 1999 and I watched it in reruns. It was a very well written and acted show set in Baltimore. Any other fans?

Love them all! Don't forget "The Last Detective"--I watch it on Amazon Prime.

when you say Netflix, do you mean you watch on a computer or lap top? Not the t.v. I don't want to sit in front of my computer and don't have a lap top and wouldn't want to watch things on it anyway. one day I will quit Comcast.

Netflix movies can be mailed to your home (the "physical" disc) to be viewed via DVD player or you can have the movies "streamed" to your desktop computer (or laptop, iPod, iPhone/Android, or gaming system - like a Wii or Playstation), just to name a few electronic devices on the market. Subscribers can choose mulitple options of viewing pleasure. I opted for the 4 disc package - having 4 discs at home at all times.

    Netflix offers free trials. Check'em out. WWW.Netflix.com . . . . . GP

I just added Endeavor to our Netflix instant queue and we have just watched the first episode. Enjoyed it. We also watched the first episode of Vera, which I enjoyed. Brenda Blethyn is such a good actress. Sometimes I feel that I should have subtitles to understand some of the British references but I must say, the British sure write a good story!!
