what to do with very small scraps?

They'd make a great leaders and enders project ala Bonnie Hunter. You could do 4-patches, 9-patches or 16-patches. I'd just start piecing them together 2 by 2, then decide where to go from there. Check out Bonnie's site at quiltville.com for some ideas. She's the queen of scrappy.

Sew them together and make a 1.5 inch postage stamp quilt. I have finished one of 2 inch squares all scraps and it is king size. I still have more blocks so I am starting a second one. I do this while watching TV in the eveings and all are done by hand.

paper piece with them I have made entire king size quilts with scraps.. and you can get a test block at Carol Doak.com to learn how to paper piece and it is real easy to do. just start with #1, then 2, 3, 4, and so on. you print out the pattern block and lay the first piece of fabric over the #1 spot and pin it and trun the paper over and sew on the line at the start of #1 then trun over, press fabric and trim it and lay #2 fabric face down on #1 fabric and pin it and turn paper over and sew on that line that connects the two pieces of fabric and the turn,press, trim and go on to # 3 and so on. so easy to do practice, practice, practice until you feel comfortable and then do a small project like a pot holder or wall hanging, then go for a small quilt and off you go.. have fun..
