oh man that is pretty! you have no fears about the brightness of the yellow from what i can see! it only enhances the quilt. beautiful job! i think i would use the second yellow in from teh brightest, that print one, and then the darker blue outer border. i think the contrast between the print and the solid or blender whichever it is would be great. beautiful work! brave lady; i have not yet taken this challenge!

Most people say a little yellow goes a long way - NOT ME! I love yellow in quilts and have even done one with a yellow background. I LOVE your quilt

Depends on how large you want the finished product to be. I would make a thin white border, followed by a thin yellow border, then a medium blue border and then dark blue. Each added color would be 1/2 to one inch wider than the other. Whatever you decide, this is a lovely piece of work. froggyintexas

Wow, that's gorgeous! I can't believe the curved lines. The yellow looks great in it.

Love the combination of color. I think a dark blue inner border would look great.

No thoughts on borders - just wanted to say again how much I like your quilt and the yellow.

I love your quilt and admire the way it is coming together. I probably would use two borders- a narrow inner yellow border and a wider, darker blue outer border-perhaps the darkest blue. It seems to me that if you use a lighter blue it would cause the darker blues in the bargello to be disconnected visually.

It looks like the ocean shore - waves rolling onto the yellow sand, with the darker yellow representing the wet sand. So pretty. I would almost put no border on it - just bind it.

The bargello I did had a 1" border in a plain colour that toned with the quilt then the border continued the bargello design. It looks really nice. Then I bound it in the same fabric as the 1" strip
