They're beautiful. Amazing quilts. The appliqué embroidery one intrigues me. What is the difference between appliqué embroidery and regular?

With machine embroidery the machine fills in the spaces of the design with embroidery stitches. With machine embroidery applique you place fabric on the design and then the machine does embroidery stitches (like satin stitches or decorative stitches) around the fabric. I have always loved applique but when I tried it by hand I was never able to get the results I wanted, so I just didn't do it. That's why, for me, machine embroidery applique is awesome. Now I can do applique designs and they turn out beautiful.
