    I made the same embroidery and used a darker print in the middle. I think your middle just blends with the embroidery and agree with one of the others that you need a darker middle. Try laying a piece of something else in the middle and see how you like it.

    The longest part is 55". The width is 44"

    I agree with not using red for the quilting. Your beautiful embroidery would be compromised. I would use white to blend into the background and not take away from (or add to) the red.

    I love the center fabric too. Maybe it will come together if you edge it in something red that has a little heavier look than the embroidery. I love the quilt.

    buddy's mom~ Your stitching projects are always so beautifully done. That center toile type print is a fun one. I hope you can find a simple fabric for your borders-nothing to detract from your stitching. Please do show us pics of when it is done!
